Some Easy Tips to Navigate Your New BlueSky Account

by | Friday, December 20th, 2024

Bluesky is a new social media platform, so many users might not have lots of followers yet, and new users may not be following many people. Luckily, Bluesky has built-in tools that make it easy to explore and connect with others. Here’s how you can find new accounts to follow:

Check Out Lists

Users on Bluesky can make lists of accounts they like. You can visit someone’s profile, see their lists, and browse the accounts or posts they’ve added. If something catches your eye, you can follow those accounts.

Use Starter Packs

Bluesky also has Starter Packs, which are collections of accounts grouped by themes or interests. There are thousands of these packs, covering all kinds of topics. You can look through them and follow specific accounts or the whole pack at once.

Look at Suggestions

Bluesky, like other platforms, offers account suggestions based on your activity. These make it quick and easy to find new accounts to follow.

Search for Accounts

There’s a search bar on Bluesky where you can type in names or topics to find accounts that interest you.

See What’s Popular

Bluesky’s Discover section highlights trending topics and posts. It also shows what your friends are engaging with under “Popular with Friends.” This is another great way to find new accounts.
