Tip of the Week: Bringing Off-Screen Windows Back Onscreen

by | Wednesday, November 9th, 2022

Using multiple monitors is great—once you try it, you never want to go back. However, there are times that Windows will still act as though you’re using an additional monitor even when you aren’t. This can make your application windows inaccessible.

Let’s go over how you can retrieve them.

How to Get Your Windows Back on Your Display

The process to do this is really quite simple:

  • Right-click on the Windows taskbar and, from the pop-up menu that appears, select Cascade windows.
  • Holding the Shift key, right-click on the application’s icon in the Taskbar.
  • A new pop-up will appear, where you should select Move.
  • This will allow you to move the window using the arrow keys.

That’s it!
